Driven by their personal need to be and feel connected to others, The Hollands! openly and honestly share their love journey, offering an emotional, intellectual and spiritual response to deeply moving issues. Weaving delicate lyrics wrapped in brawny rhythms, their message is both visionary and authentic
Jana's vocals are delicate and beautiful, she sets the mood and embraces your mind with her poetic yet ground level lyrics. At times Jana's sound can be rustic when she combines the strumming of the banjo or mandolin, but the majority of her strings are shared with her acoustic guitar. Janas performance is flawless and entrancing. Hollands deep minor tones and angelic voice offer solace to any who listen.
Craig, a native of Australia, began his music career playing punk, including a 7 year stint in Ballydowse, a Chicago-based World/Punk band recorded by famed indie producer, Steve Albini.
Craig offers the element of unique sound that pulls the music of The Hollands! in a different direction than traditional folk. When Craig is playing the Taylor acoustic, the rhythms are almost Celtic by nature. Craig brings his quietly powerful presence to the duo that is The Hollands!

ON A PERSONAL NOTE:
we enjoy bantering about things we know little about but think we're experts, we enjoy savoring chocolate and a good red to match, watching our children grow and learn and laugh and work life out. tending to our garden. craig likes to read sport news and anything to do with politics, jana loathes reading sports news or anything to do with politics, we both enjoy a good coffee/tea, love throwing a good party, mostly we love each other.
